Flu (influenza) is caused by a virus spread through the droplets from sneezes or coughs.  These droplets land on surfaces, allowing the virus to spread to others when touched.  Three simple steps (Washing hands, Covering coughs, and Staying home if sick) can help prevent you from contracting or spreading the flu.
