Tammi Ketcham is a certified Incident Command System and
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainer. She is also a
Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) which assures
her effectiveness in the following areas: evaluating our
community’s vulnerability to hazards, emergency response
planning and communication, incident response, medical surge
capacity, organizational culture, fire and egress, pandemics,
terrorism, and natural disasters.
Tammi advises leaders in the Sarasota County Health
Department and private sector/healthcare and medical facilities
in the development of public health and medical response plans
to bioterrorism and other natural or man-made disasters. She is
an active member of the Sarasota County Healthcare Preparedness
Consortium, a partnership of local health and medical
organizations (i.e. hospitals, dialysis centers, hospice, health
department and others) that work year-round to assure a
coordinated response to all potential emergencies and disasters
in Sarasota County. This organization
also provides leadership to assure the effective use of valuable
health and medical resources during a community emergency.
Tammi coordinates and facilitates preparedness trainings,
exercises and drills and after action responsibilities in
compliance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation
Program (HSEEP) standards. She also provides local oversight of
the Florida Department of Health Emergency Notification System
(FDENS)/Florida Emergency Health Volunteer Registry (FEHVR)
databases. As MRC coordinator, she handles volunteer
recruitment, retention and credentialing.

Michael Drennon, MSPH

Michael received his Masters of
Science in Public Health from The University of South Florida
and his Bachelors Degree from The University of Tennessee. He
previously was a Florida Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS)
Fellow assigned to Sarasota. During this time Michael
participated in public health surveillance activities and data
analysis, led outbreak investigations, conducted multiple
community presentations on public health threats, improved local
preparedness for infectious disease disasters, and closely
worked with community partners to improve the health of the
residents of Sarasota County. Michael works with all divisions
of the health department to describe the patterns and
distribution of conditions of public health importance in Sarasota County in order to provide
valuable information to drive public health policies and
practice.

William C. Heymann, M.D., F.A.C.E.P.

As Sarasota County Health Department’s Medical Executive Director,
Dr. Heymann supervises the Sarasota County Health Department’s
staff physicians, dental clinics, pharmacy and medical
laboratories. He also works closely with community agencies,
health care providers and others in addressing health care
issues.
Dr. Heymann received his medical degree from Medical College of
Ohio. He has extensive training and experience in
family and community medicine, and is experienced in medical
disaster management. He is board certified in internal medicine
and a diplomate in tropical medicine and hygiene. Dr. Heymann
has served as Chairman of Critical Care at Cedars Medical Center in Miami,
where he practiced as a critical care and emergency physician.
Additionally, he was on the teaching staff at University of Miami,
V.A. Medical Center and is currently clinical assistant professor at the Florida
State University College of Medicine, Sarasota Campus.
