Sarasota County Immunization Coalition

This coalition represents members from the health department, physicians, hospitals, home health and private health care providers, vaccine manufacturers and other interested groups.

SCIC's mission
To protect our community from vaccine-preventable diseases by

• Serving as a trusted resource about vaccine preventable diseases using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) standards.
• Increasing the demand for vaccines by helping providers and the public understand their importance.
• Helping providers to ensure immunizations are given at the appropriate ages and intervals
• Encouraging the use of Florida’s Immunization Information System known as Florida SHOTS™

SCIC meetings

SCIC meetings are held three times a year in the auditorium at DOH-Sarasota, 2200 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota FL 34237.  [See map]
